3 month photo shoot with Aunie Kimmy

Cameron's blessing

We have been waiting for this day for almost 4 years! We originally wanted it to be December 6th 2009. Unfortunately that did not happen due to the weather, Visibility was non existent and well it was December so the snow was coming, the heavens were not holding back. And it wouldn't be southern Alberta without the wind. And so nobody could make it. We didn't even make it to church, we were snowed in. I was devastated! We tried to change it to other weeks in December, but trying to combine all the different schedules was near impossible! We then decided January 3rd 2010, We'd love for whoever can make it to come, if not we'll miss you!

We went to church almost an hour early. We a\wanted to be there to greet family and friends as they arrived. But mainly to meet all of Cameron's needs to ensure that the blessing will run smoothly ie. fed, changed etc.
I waited until the last possible moment to dress him. I wanted to avoid a diaper blowout at all costs.

The blessing was great. Cameron looked so cute in his outfit (knitted by Great Grandma Bolokoski) and the onesie that Daddy was blessed in. Michael came back to sit with me and that's when it happenned. We hear the rumble and not too much later we discover the yellow stain straight up his back. At least he waited until after.

We enjoyed a nice dinner while visiting afterwards. Thank you to all who helped out!

The most Wonderful time of the Year

Cameron's first Christmas!
What a crazy time. Our little man suffered a bit of overstimulization. It all started on the 19th when we drove out to Acme to celebrate with 'Great' Grandma and Grandpa Kesler and all of Grandma's family. We then had 'vierte Advent' at Omi and Opa's on the 20th. On the 22nd we went with Auntie Kimmy and Joseph to visit Santa. ( a little Awkward, I don't think Santa knows how to hold Babies). Also on the 22nd we exchanged gifts with the Coles.

Christmas eve started with games and fondue at Grandma and Grandpa's and finished the afternoon with a gift exchange. We then hurried off to Omi and Opa's for Chinese food and 'Bescherung'. Christmas is definatley for the little ones. It's magic. Our little man was spoiled and I loved every minute of it. Auntie Kimmy and family gave him a stuffed Elephant which Cameron just loves. Uncle Matt and Uncle Mikey gave him Rattles and shakers which excite him. Uncle Ronnie and Family gave him a book. Cameron loves to be read to. And Omi and Opa gave him a beautiful illustrated Children's songbook. Now Mommy can sing to him everyday. His favourites are Love is spoken here, A child's prayer and I am a child of God. Only to name a few of the things our baby boy was spoiled with. Thank you everyone!

Bright and early Christmas morning we got up and went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for a big waffle breakfast and another gift exchange. Then back to Omi and Opa's, we made it back in time for their waffle breakfast. 2 waffle breakfast in one day, no complaints here, especially when whip cream and berries are involved. We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon playing games. At 3:00p.m. we headed over to Great Uncle Nathan's for Christmas Dinner where we would celebrate with all of Grandpa's family. The Food was delicious and the company great. Nana absolutley loves our little man, and steals him away every chance she gets.

We then headed back to Omi and Opa's yet one more time. That Night Cameron gave his gift to me. His first through the night sleep, 11:00p.m. to 6:00a.m. It was wonderful!

On the 26th we packed up and headed back home to see if Santa had found Nobleford. He sure did. Cameron was spoiled with Books, books and more books! Enough for Mommy to read every day and Daddy to read him Good night!

Whew! That was Exhausting! But great! we love our family and friends and our glad that they could celebrate Cameron's first Christmas with us!

How the heck do you work this thing?

Okay, so I’m sitting here having a heck of a time trying to figure this blogging thing out, the only things I really know how to do on the computer is check my email and shop. I’m trying to upload pictures which currently is not working. Do I interrupt Michael studying for exams or do I continue to try on my own and in the meantime go absolutely crazy?

Oh, and by the way just putting in this little plug for when I finally do figure out how to finally post our pictures, all of the good (what am I saying?) all of the GREAT ones are taken by my sister Kim, check her out and hire her!

The best stocking stuffer ever!

Our year in a nutshell

I’ve never been good at journal writing and scrapbooking doesn’t fit in our current budget so I thought I’d start a Blog. ( This should appease all of you who have been asking for pictures and updates etc.)I am anti posting pictures on Facebook so if you’re reading this, you should feel special because it means I invited you.
So to catch up!
Our year in a nutshell; At the beginning of the year we got the most wonderful news! We were finally expecting, something I was starting to doubt would ever happen. I was put on bed rest, mostly for precautionary measures. The days went on forever but the weeks flew by and before you know it, we were getting our mid point ultrasound, which by the way gave us a bit of a shocker as we thought I was carrying our little Erika when instead it turned out to be Cameron. (needless to say there were a few items that I needed to return)
We moved to Calgary in the summer for Michael’s job and halfway through he was laid off so we moved back home, where he found another job which turned out to be a joke and since has been spending his time doing homework, spending time with me and oh ya looking for a job.
October 8, 2009 Labour begins. I won’t give you the details (unless you really want them) Our little bundle of joy is born on the 9th. 7lbs 6oz. 21 inches. The most beautiful and perfect little baby I have ever seen. Our little Cameron Michael Cobb.
And here we are already 2 and a half months later watching him grow like a weed. Excited to finally have a little one to share Christmas with.
