Cameron and His first Snow

Technically last year was his first snow, but he was too little so I'm not counting it.

Anyways, Cameron is fascinated by the snow, but is definitely NOT a fan of the cold. After the Storm subsided, we dressed him up, put his boots on and headed out. Between the dense snow and heavy boots Cameron couldn't walk. He kept grunting, as if it was the hardest thing he's ever had to do. (I just have to add that he's just too darn cute!)

Michael was loading up the Van today for a trip to Calgary and left the front door open, Cameron kept trying to escape (he was barefoot) and every time he stepped out the door he HOWLED! Cameron loves being outside, and he kept trying over and over again. That darn cold stuff!

I wonder what he'll think of sledding.

My Biggest Loser

I feel so bad for our little man. He can sense something is up, but what?

"Mama is pulling everything out, my toy room no longer exists, not to mention my toys are going missing. The House doesn't look normal. Although there is so much more to explore!!!"

So we were having some Family packing time and Cameron found my weights. The Three pounders were no problem. But all of a sudden we hear him " grunting/ screaming" (kind of like they do on "the Biggest Loser" when they have to do a really hard exercise and I look over and Cameron is squatting, face red trying to lift my five pound dumbell. I wish I could have caught it on tape.

Uprooted

In August Michael and I decided we wanted to move. We were going to downsize to help with the finances a bit (it's amazing how a little person can triple your expenses). Plus with me being a stay at home mom things were bound to get tighter. We thought Magrath or Raymond. I really, really love the small towns. Nobleford in size is perfect but as far as our beliefs go we're fairly alone out here. Also because it's so small there aren't a lot of options for growing children (ie. sports, music and other programs.) Magrath or Raymond has it all, our beliefs, programs yet their still small towns. We thought we had it all figured out only to have the bank mislead us and finding out there's a HUGE fine to transferring our mortgage etc etc. I was bummed, I had found the house I wanted too.

In the meantime Michael's work in Calgary keeps increasing and increasing to the point that he travels up EVERY weekend. Sometimes I go with him, sometimes I stay home. Although being home alone with a little one all weekend is not very desirable. It's down right exhausting. But going to Calgary isn't very desirable either. Not sleeping in my own bed, uprooting Cameron. Throwing off his whole schedule. Throwing off my whole diet. It was a catch 22 decision every weekend. Many asked us, if Michael comes to Calgary every weekend why would we move further away? because the only good thing about Calgary (besides our Families being there) is that the work is there. It's no secret I hate Calgary, the further away I am the better.

Well things were just not working out for us. Things were getting tighter because of the lack of work down here and the travel to Calgary.

And then Two weeks ago I was laying down having a rest while Cameron was napping. Trying to read a book. I could not concentrate. A flood of ideas hit me of what we needed to do. To spare you a long story and the minute details I had the impression to move back to Calgary. I cried (I hate Calgary) and then I called Michael and told him what I had just experienced. That was 2 weeks ago. TWO weeks warning I get. Talk about a stress inducer. YIKES!. The impression I had was for December 1st. I had no time.

So here we are November 24, Our house in total chaos, boxes and junk everywhere. Truck rented, Living in Calgary found and no idea what's going to happen now.

As much as I hate Calgary there is light at the end of the tunnel. The home we found is a block from my Sister's and a few blocks from my Parents and all other family is not too much further. The cousins will get to play together. Things will still be tight for awhile but not as it is now. I'm thinking of starting a dayhome too. That way I can contribute to the Families income but still stay at home with my little man.
We made a pros and cons list and the pros heavily outweighed the cons.

The quick move isn't all that bad either. It keeps me from procrastinating. and this way I still get to set up Christmas! I love Christmas! And if I had my way, my house would already be decorated. But because of maybe selling the house I didn't want to set everything up only to have to take it down before I was ready.

So here goes! The Cobb Family is being uprooted! A new adventure about to begin.

Good-bye to "Barb's house of Dreams"

Uncle Elder

My Brother Matt was called to serve in the Columbia Cali mission. We are all very excited for him! He's the first of our Family to go outside of Germany. He's going to learn a whole new language and have some amazing experiences. He reported November 17th to the MTC(Missionary Training Center) and then in 2 months will be off to serve and love the people of Columbia. We wish him all the best! Our thought and Prayers will be with him these next two years.

Halloween and it's accompanying parties.

Cameron took a few bites of the cut out and decided he really didn't like it after all.

Aunty Kimmy's Halloween Party
(at the church)

Cutest little Dragon I've ever seen!

He was too little for any of the games, but he sure had fun walking up and down the Hallways.

Each Family got a door, we each had to decorate it spooky like and then the kidlets trick or treated.

Snack time

Baby Group Halloween/ Birthday party.

Cameron not liking the crowd. Poor little Man, the things I put him through.
(what kind of Mother am I?)

A skunk (Jude), a Bumblebee (Kennedy), another cute Dragon (Mason) and an approaching Tiger (Noah).

A little alone time away from the crowd. We had the party at the pool, which I think added to Cameron's distress. He just wanted in the Water.

Present time!

Mason trying to steal Cameron's gift and Cameron not having any of it.

It was a great party. Really fun to see everyone again. And to see how much the little ones have grown. With everybody back at work we barely get to see each other anymore. These Ladies are my sanity savers and I miss their company!

Afterward we went swimming. Cameron discovered the little slide and for 45 minutes climbed out of the pool, walked to the slide, climbed the slide, slid down the slide, submerged in the water and did it over and over and over again.

Trunk or Treat

One of our beliefs in the LDS church is tho keep the Sabbath(Sunday) Holy. This means we try to only do things that invite the spirit of the Lord.
Halloween fell on a Sunday this year so instead of making the kiddies miss out. The individual Congregations had their own celebrations the night before.
T'was the night before Halloween.
Each Member who participated brought their Vehicle the church parking lot, decorated the trunk and the kids went from car to car "trunk or treating"

Cameron held his little bucket in one hand, held my hand with the other and walked from trunk to trunk. Too cute!

Cousins enjoying their newly obtained goodies.

We love Our Omi!

Cameron Halloween last year!

One Year Photo shoot with Aunty Kim

I really have to say what a blessing it is to have Aunty Kimmy as a photographer. I think she captures Cameron's personality. Amazing Talent! I don't think anybody could do it better.

IT'S PARTY TIME!

One downside to having a birthday thanksgiving weekend is that everybody goes out of town.
We decided to throw the Big Bash the following weekend. We rented the church. Invited the friends and Family and had a swinging (in the trees) time.

I have to give special thanks to my Sister, Kim and My sister in law, Erin. The both sacrificed a Friday night and stayed up late with me, helping me with the Cake and Cupcakes.

Many eager little hands "helping" Cameron open his gifts.

Cameron Loved The cards more than the gifts. Especially from Paige and Danielle. They made their cards themselves. All glittery. Cameron was fascinated.

I dug through the "runts" bin at bulk barn for 20 minutes. To "pick" these Bananas.

Poor little guy. Cameron is a shy guy, and has been from the very beginning. He's also never liked crowds or big group gatherings. He was a bit overwhelmed when 30 people gathered around his high chair and started singing to him.

Cameron also doesn't like cake. So he smashed it and then threw it on the ground.
He's more interested in The Camera than he is in the cake.

Silly Little Monkey!
