New Milestone

We finally bought some crib sheets. The other day I put Cameron down for his nap, not in my arms, not in the Bassinet beside our bed but in his crib. My little man is growing so fast. This may sound silly but it was a very emotional moment for me. I don't know if I'm ready. So the Question is, is it a Mommy Milestone or a Cameron Milestone? So far the votes have been a Mommy Milestone.

Babes in the Library

Yesterday was our first class of "Babes in the Library". Let me just say what a great program (especially since it doesn't cost anything). It was packed full, and it seemed to me that all the babies were fairly close in age. Jill and Milo joined us. And Christy and Sydney showed up as well.

We sang songs/Nursery rhymes with appropriate hand and finger motions. We got up to "ring around the rosies" and had a short story time. Cameron loves songs and such, but half way through he got a bit restless. (His nap was cut short)

Cameron got his first Library Card and we took out some books and Music to enjoy together.

Baby Massage

Our baby group had a massage therapist come in this week, to teach us Baby Massage. Cameron was all keen for the rubs, except for tummy and chest. He did not like those. His favourite were legs and feet.

Double Milestone

Yesterday, as per morning routine, before making breakfast I went on the computer to do email and such. I placed Cameron on his play mat. After a few minutes I heard him grunting, I turned around and he had rolled from his back to his front! Yeah! First rollover and it was the "hard" one.(sadly I missed the action)

We went about are day as usual and as I was getting Cameron ready for bath time, I stripped him down and put him down for tummy time as the tub was being filled and rollover #2! But this time from tummy to back. And this one I witnessed!

Two in one day, I am one proud Mama!

Cameron's first play date!

Since the beginning of January, Cameron and I have been attending Baby steps classes (post-natal). Those classes have been a real blessing! There are 7 other moms with their little cuties all around Cameron's age.

Cameron and his pal Milo.

Cameron's friends (Starting with the little lady in pink going clockwise)
Sydney, Kennedy, Mason, Noah, Milo, Cameron, Jude and Olivia.

Amber w/ Noah, Jill & Milo, Christy w/ Sydney, Sheri and Olivia,
Kathy and Mason, Cara w/ Kennedy, Me and Cameron and Kristi- Lynn w/ Jude
(Christy, Sheri and Kristi- Lynn and I were all in Pre- natal classes together as well)

The classes have recently ended, but we decided to keep getting together. One of the Friends we have made are Jill and Milo. and that was our play date yesterday. (I think it was more for the mommies) As Milo was sleeping when we first got there and then Cameron was sleeping when Milo got up. But eventually they were up at the same time. They chilled, had tummy time, and even enjoyed a bit of infant conversation.

Just Hanging out!

The first was a success and there will be many more to follow!

Write everything down

I can't tell you how many people have told me. Write everything down. The time goes by so quickly, they grow up so fast and you won't remember everything. I didn't realize how true that actually was. It seemed like my pregnancy dragged on forever and ever and now here I am and my little man is already 4 and 1/2 months old. It's super fun watching him grow and learn and reach new milestones but at the same time I can't help being a little sad that it's going so fast. Anyways, do you think I took the time to write down any of the precious moments we've had? No! So I'm attempting to do it now.

When Cameron was born, he was tongue tied. We opted to have it snipped. His tongue was his new toy. For the next few days we could here him clicking and clacking trying to figure it out.

When He gets super tired he likes to talk himself to sleep. He'll grunt and tell himself stories as he's nodding off. It's super adorable. (We have a real talker, He's always got plenty to say, whether he's excited or having to tell us his sob stories because he's not so happy. It should be interesting once the words start coming)

He started Giggling from tickling on New Years Eve and since then He's had random giggling fits.(although from the very beginning he's chuckled in his sleep,I'd love to know what he dreams about) When I play with him or talk funny or kiss him real crazy. He gets a real kick out of kicking daddy. (sorry pun intended).
Along with giggling, I love his smiles. His smiles is what makes getting up in the night bearable. When I go to get him and he sees me, his face totally lights up. I love the way he looks at me. With such trust and admiration and love. He melts my heart!
When he does get up in the night and he's super hungry and I put him in position to nurse him, he gets really excited and starts to laugh I guess (I don't really know how else to describe it). I guess he's thinking "All Right, Food time!"
Although if I take him out of bed and decide to change him before feeding him, he isn't to impressed with that idea and he lets me know that too.

His favourite game is Pat-a-cake, and I'm sure if I had the endurance he'd let me do it all day. When he gets excited his whole body tenses up and he starts to shake. With pat-a-cake and other songs and games in general he loves to sing and talk along.
When I sing he sings and when I stop he stops and waits for me to start again. He even sings along at church to the hymns. I absolutely love it.

Cameron loves bath time. It's his little Aqua fit sessions. He's in there kicking and squirming and moving. Huffing and puffing the whole time. Bath time is a sure fire way to calm him down if he's fussy. Lately he's figured out that when he puts his fist in the water and then bring it quickly to his mouth, he can suck it off. So he puts his fist in, sucks over and over. It's so funny.

After Cameron has had a diaper change, he loves to have his legs kept bare. He lays there and kicks and squeals and has a grand old time.

Cameron really is a blessing in our lives. Our little miracle. I love being his mother and I love watching him and Michael grow together. He loves hanging out with Daddy and story time with Daddy. When Michael enters the room Cameron's face lights up.

Every day is a learning one with our ups and downs for all three of us. But when all is said and done, we are very rich because we have each other!
